It’s almost 4 years ago now that Jorge and I founded HealthUnlocked. Our goal was to empower patients by making health information more personal and smarter to the needs of each individual. That was our dream then and remains the same today.
In those 4 years HealthUnlocked has grown from a platform with charity partners in the United Kingdom to include partners from 13 countries around the world. Today the 250 communities on HealthUnlocked have more than 140 thousand members and almost 1 million monthly visitors. But this summer we decided that it was time to take a leap forward.
We started with a major upgrade in July in order for us to improve user experience across all the communities by delivering new features as well as introducing the Health Graph.
And today we go even further. We are opening up HealthUnlocked communities to users across more than 20 other countries around the world by adding Spanish and Portuguese to the platform.
We’re very proud to have almost 25 organizations across the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world joining us as HealthUnlocked communities today. From Associação Nacional de Assistência ao Diabético in Brazil and Artritis Chile, we’re very excited about the opportunities that lie in a globally connected network of people and organizations focused on health.
