As you can imagine, here at HealthUnlocked headquarters we’ve used the platform a lot over the years and one thing that always gets us is not being able to mention our HealthUnlocked friends when writing a post or reply, whether that’s to shout out, ask for help, point to a resource, request an opinion, or something else.
So, we’ve decided to change that. You can now mention others in a post or reply. All you have to do is type the ‘@‘ symbol followed by the username of the person you’re trying to mention.
For example if you wanted to mention to your friend George you’d simply type ‘@george’. You should see a dropdown with a list of users to choose from as you type. Simply select George from the list. Once you publish your post or reply George will receive a notification letting him know.
Things to note
- Maybe it’s obvious, but you’ll have to remember the username of the person you’re wanting to mention.
- You can only mention others in your community.
- You can mention others in the body of a post and in a reply, but not in the title of the post.
As always, get in touch to let us know what you think!
